What Is a Vehicle Protection Plan?
Vehicle protection plans offer affordable protection against costly and unexpected repairs beyond the manufacturer's or dealer's warranty and are available for both new and used vehicles. In some cases, vehicle protection plans are less expensive than the cost of a single mechanical breakdown.*
Why Should I Buy a Vehicle Protection Plan If My Vehicle Still Has a Manufacturer’s Warranty?
A vehicle protection plan makes sense if you are planning to keep your vehicle past the manufacturer’s basic warranty period and you want additional protection against the high repair costs. In addition, you may be eligible for more comprehensive coverage and the potential for long-term cost savings as the best rates for all coverage plans are on vehicles with lower mileage. Finally, our vehicle protection plans come with the following benefits: car rental, travel expenses for trip interruption, and 24/7 emergency roadside assistance including towing, flat tire assistance, battery service, lost key/lockout services and delivery of emergency supplies of fluids and other supplies.
My Vehicle is Not Under Warranty, but it's Very Reliable. Do I Need a Protection Plan?
You may still purchase a vehicle protection plan after the original full manufacturer's warranty has expired. Mechanical breakdowns are a reality for even the most reliable vehicles which is why manufacturers only offer warranties for a limited period. As your vehicle gets older and accumulates more miles, the likelihood of experiencing a mechanical breakdown increases. An investment in a vehicle protection plan today may protect you from an unexpected and costly repair bill in the future.

A closer look at the coverage and benefits offered will clearly demonstrate the difference between these plans. Therefore, you might find a lower priced plan but you may not find a better value.
Are There Any Mileage or Year Restrictions?
We offer vehicle protection plans for vehicles up to current plus 15 model years of age. Also, a vehicle must have fewer than 156,000 miles at the time the vehicle protection plan is purchased.

After 30 days, you can cancel your vehicle service contract and recieve a refund on the unused portion. Please review your vehicle service contract for more detailed information on cancellations and refunds. Should you wish to cancel your contract, please contact the dealer or producer from whom you purchased your contract first.

What Kind of Records Do I Need for Proof of Maintenance?
Receipts for maintenance must include the vehicle identification number (VIN), year, make, and model, dates of service, mileage and services performed. Maintenance services must be performed in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
How Are Repair Claims Processed And Where Can I Get My Vehicle Repaired?
The process is simple, if the covered vehicle experiences a mechanical breakdown, the best alternative is to take your vehicle back to the dealer or producer from whom you purchased your protection plan. In those instances where that is not be a viable option, you may take your vehicle to any licensed repair facility in the United States or Canada. Instruct the dealer or licensed repair facility that they must contact the Administrator with the diagnosis and estimate of repairs and obtain an authorization number prior to proceeding with repairs.
Once the vehicle is repaired, we will pay the repair facility directly, less any deductible (if applicable), by credit card, direct deposit or check. There is no paperwork for you to fill out. However, failure to obtain authorization prior to repairs may result in nonpayment.
What Are My Deductible Options?
Our vehicle protection plans offer a range of deductible options including: $0, $50, $100, and $200. The deductible is per repair visit. Beware of companies that charge a deductible on a per item basis.
How Do I Use My Car Rental Benefit?
Your car rental benefit is available to provide you with a replacement vehicle when the covered vehicle is inoperable due to a covered mechanical breakdown. Many repair facilities have loaner cars or car rental operations onsite. However, if your repair facility does not provide rental cars, contact your local rental car company and retain your receipt. Once your vehicle is repaired, simply submit the receipt for reimbursement. Please refer to your specific vehicle service contract coverage pages for exact terms orcontact us if you have questions.

Disclaimer: National Repair Solutions offers Extended Motor Vehicle Service Contracts, or Vehicle Service Contracts. Vehicle Service Contracts are not called Warranties because a Warranty is only something that the manufacturer of a product can offer. Although Dealerships offer Vehicle Service Contracts as "Extended Warranties," they are not legally Warranties because they are with administrators who are not the manufacturers. National Repair Soultions does not use any of the following terminioogy when describing a program with any customers. The words "Warranty, Extended Auto Warranty, or Auto Warranty" should only be used when you are referring to the vehicle's original factory warranty. Third party or aftermarket vehicle service contracts (like National Repair Solutions policies) are not through any vehicle manufacturer. People who search online commonly search for the terms, "expired bumper to bumper warranty, expired extended auto warranty, expired used car warranty, expired truck extended auto warranty, expired luxury warranty, expired premium warranty, dealership warranty, extended factory warranty, online extended auto warranty, high mileage warranty, repair insurance, vehicle protection service plans, vehicle protection plans, best extended warranty online, mechanical break down plans, repair coverage, vehicle repair coverage, or truck repair coverage." These phrases are not the correct terminalogy to refer to a third party, or aftermarket, vehicle service contract. Please contact one of our coverage specialists if you have any questions.
